Najstarszym znanym chrześcijańskim tekstem napisanym w języku arabskim jest O Bogu w Trójcy Jedynym (Sinai Ar. 154). Jego nowość polega nie tylko na języku kompozycji, ale nade wszystko na sposobie, w jaki anonimowy autor prezentuje wiarę chrześcijańską, gdyż tekst ten jest odwołuje się do dwóch źródłeł, biblijnego i kornicznego. Metoda ta wiedzie prym w modlitwie otwierającej tekstu. Wyraźne aluzje do tekstu Koranu sugerują, że anonimowy autor tego tekstu starał się wykorzystać koraniczną naukę o objawieniu Boga, adaptując ją do potrzeb uzasadniania autentyczności chrześcijaństwa w oparciu o Koran.
On the Triune Nature God (Sinai Ar. 154) is the oldest-known Christian text written in Arabic. Its innovation consists not only in the language of the composition itself, but most of all it is expressed in the way its anonymous author presents Christian faith referring explicitly to both Bible and Qur’ān. This method plays a leading role in the prayer that opens the whole text. The explicit allusions to the Qur’ān may suggest that the author attempted to use some Qur’ānic verses to prove the authenticity of the Christian religion.
