Wiara i jej celebracja w kulturze. Systematyzacja pojęć

Abstract

The study is not to explain two key concepts contained in the title, they are “faith” and “culture”, but to bring nearer and systematize the basic concepts related to the processes taking place – in the past and present – “at the crossroads” of culture and celebration of faith (which is primarily the liturgy, although of course not only liturgy). In everyday language, but sometimes also in scientific studies and even in the documents of the Church, discussing the relationship of faith to culture, almost exclusively uses the term “inculturation”. Meanwhile, the “inculturation” is an ambiguous term and it seems to be a mistake to use only this term for many processes connected with inculturation and adaptation, such as enculturation, acculturation, accommodation, indigenization, contextualization, or transculturation.

W opracowaniu nie chodzi o wyjaśnienie dwóch kluczowych pojęć zawartych w tytule, jakimi są „wiara” i „kultura”, lecz o przybliżenie i usystematyzowanie podstawowych pojęć związanych z procesami dokonującymi się – w przeszłości i obecnie – „na styku” kultury i celebracji wiary (którą jest przede wszystkim liturgia, choć nie tylko liturgia). W języku potocznym, ale niekiedy także w opracowaniach naukowych, a nawet w dokumentach Kościoła, w odniesieniu do relacji między wiarą a kulturą używa się niemal wyłącznie terminu „inkulturacja”. Tymczasem „inkulturacja” to pojęcie wieloznaczne i błędem wydaje się używanie jedynie tego terminu na określenie wielu procesów inkulturacyjnych i adaptacyjnych, takich jak: enkulturacja, akulturacja, akomodacja, indygenizacja, kontekstualizacja czy transkulturacja.
