In the 90. it was a popular thesis that the Catholic Church is becoming to have a stronger influence on politics. Even some publicist and researchers claimed that there was a process of building a confessional state. The church had to apply for constitutionalisation of the situation. To check the veracity of these claims I analyzed the most conservative draft constitution proposed by the Constitutional Committee of the Senate of Poland. The results show that the document was primarily democratic and Catholicism did not play a role of a state religion.pl
