Abstract

In the article some semantic features of appositional expressions are described. First I comment a criteria of distinguishing this class of lexemes (see Dobaczewski 1998). These analysis show that lexical units, traditionally described as negative appositions, e.g. gdzie, skąd, may be threaten like a particles – they comment a rheme of a sentence (which may be given in left-sided context). Than I compare some expressions (e.g. zaraz, od razu, jak, akurat) which can be used in the same negative role. My conclusion is that these lexical units not express the speaker conviction on the falsity of a given judgment.
