Abstract

In the era of handling media and information channels to the Internet it is natural to desire the editors of scientific journals to take advantage of this road to reach readers. The functioning of the Internet content management systems is an alternative to traditional publishing, providing not only communication but also instant global reach. The purpose of this article is to present the advantages and disadvantages of the use of the Internet platform in the work of the editors of scientific journals using OJS system on the example of Academic Journals Platform UMK apcz.pl. The author applied the method of case studies and in-depth interview with editors of magazines published on apcz.pl.

Funkcjonowanie internetowych systemów zarządzania treścią stanowi alternatywę dla wydawnictw tradycyjnych, zapewniając nie tylko błyskawiczny przekaz, ale również globalny zasięg. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest zaprezentowanie zalet i wad stosowania platformy internetowej w pracy redakcji czasopism naukowych używających system OJS na przykładzie Akademickiej Platformy Czasopism apcz.pl. Autor zastosował metodę case study oraz sondaż metodą ankiety internetowej wśród redaktorów czasopism zdeponowanych na apcz.pl.
