Cztery warianty filomackiego przekładu Koranu (XIX wiek)

Abstract

Dotychczasowe badania twórczości wileńskich filomatów i filaretów były prowadzone na podstawie różnorodnych źródeł filologicznych (zwłaszcza korespondencji, twórczości autorskiej i tym podobnych), nie uwzględniały jednak jednego źródła, mianowicie przekładu Koranu na język polski ks. Dionizego Chlewińskiego oraz Ignacego Domeyki. Powodem był zarówno brak świadomości istnienia takiego przekładu, jak i brak źródeł do prowadzenia badań w tym zakresie. Przedmiotem analizy jest niedawno odnaleziona jedna z kopii zaginionego rękopisu wileńskich filomatów. Jej fragment opracowano w aspektach historycznym i filologicznym. Zwrócono przy tym uwagę na skomplikowane losy znaleziska i jego powiązania z drukowanym przekładem z 1858 roku, sygnowanym nazwiskiem Jana Murzy Tarak Buczackiego oraz z tak zwanym tefsirem grodzieńskim.

Four Variants of the Philomaths Translation of the Qur’an (19th Century) – Abstract So far, research into the literary achievements of Vilnius-based Philomaths and Filarets has been conducted on the basis of various philological sources (particularly correspondence and individual authors’ works); however, it has not taken into account the translation of the Qur’an into Polish rendered by Rev. Dionizy Chlewiński and Ignacy Domeyko. This resulted from the lack of awareness of the existence of such translation and the scarcity of sources to conduct studies in this respect. The subject of analysis in this paper is a recently found copy of the lost manuscript of the said two Philomaths from Vilnius. Historical and philological aspects of a passage of that work were the subject of consideration. Attention was directed to the complex history of the finding and its connection with the printed translation of 1858, so-called Tefsir of Grodno signed with the name Jan Murza Tarak Buczacki.
