Zabytki tekstylne ze Śliwic

Abstract

The article by Małgorzata Grupa is devoted to the textile fragments acquired during the oversight of reconstruction and the new arrangement of the square at the Church of St. Catherine of Alexandria in Śliwice. The author is also the performer of essential conservation work and textile techniques needed for identifying the resources. The objects made from organic matter undergo significant deterioration and there for are only a small percentage of the archaeological findings. In the paper the author shows a unique presentation of the remains of fabrics. These findings are documented with the appropriate illustrations related to conservation issues. The advantage of the work is the source of its foundation. After the necessary work, the unique monument, will be forwarded to the museum in Chojnice.
