Abstract

Among the dilemmas of education, there is also searching for frames of reference – to the sources of values, transfer of heritage, formation of identity. This publication constitutes an attempt of reaching for seemingly out-of-date but still present texts. The text which created essential foundations for the contemporary culture. The author, by referring to the selected excerpts from the Old and New Testaments, attempts to show the extent of their topicality and "usefulness" in searching for answers of the contemporary education.

Wśród wielu dylematów wychowania znajduje się także poszukiwanie układów odniesienia – do źródeł wartości, przekazu dziedzictwa, formacji tożsamości. Niniejsze opracowanie jest próbą sięgnięcia do tekstów zdawałoby się nieaktualnych, lecz przecież nieustannie obecnych. Tekstów, które stworzyły istotne podwaliny dla współczesnej kultury. Autor, odwołując się do wybranych fragmentów Starego i Nowego Testamentu, próbuje pokazać, na ile są one nadal aktualne i mogą być „użyteczne” w poszukiwaniu podpowiedzi dla współczesnego wychowania.
