Człowiek jako artysta życia. Kontynuacja wojtyliańskiej metafory

Abstract

The article expands a metaphor used by Karol Wojtyła. He describes a human as an artist. The aim of the article is to not only present the metaphor, but it is reference to specific view of art historians and philosophers, who are trying to determine what is the artist’s specific. Analysis includes the three essential elements. We have the introduction to the context and next: first part defines the problem of human as an artist; second – analyzes the artistic work and its role; and last topic relates to the artist’s communication with the recipient. Faith in Good is common denominator for understanding the metaphor, because presented content relates to the understanding of Christians and sanctity in a special way. On the basis of the whole article must be concluded that the human can be seen metaphorically as an artist, who creates his life’s most important work. It will provide for his salvation.

Artykuł rozwija metaforę stosowaną przez Karola Wojtyłę, w myśl której opisuje on człowieka jako artystę życia. Celem pracy staje się więc nie tylko zaprezentowanie samej metafory, ale także odniesienie jej do wybranych wypowiedzi historyków sztuki i filozofów, którzy próbują określić, na czym polega specyfika artysty. Analiza zawiera się w trzech zasadniczych elementach: po wprowadzeniu do kontekstu pierwsza część definiuje problem człowieka jako artysty; kolejny fragment pracy analizuje dzieło artystyczne i jego rolę; ostatni wątek dotyczy komunikacji artysty z odbiorcą jego działalności. Wspólnym mianownikiem rozumienia metafory staje się wiara, dlatego przedstawiona treść szczególnie odnosi się do rozumienia chrześcijan i świętości. Z tych rozważań można wyciągnąć wniosek, że człowiek metaforycznie może być postrzegany jako artysta, który swoim życiem stwarza najważniejsze dzieło. Ono będzie stanowić o jego zbawieniu.
