Dziecko to człowiek od chwili urodzenia do ukończenia 18 roku życia. Każdy z nich jest podmiotem opieki rodzicielskiej i szeroko rozumianej opieki medycznej i pedagogicznej.
W przedstawionych materiałach dydaktycznych kierowanych do studentów Wydziału Nauk o Zdrowiu dokonano opisu dziecka zdrowego. Przedstawiono rozwój fizyczny i metody jego oceny, opiekę zdrowotną, racjonalne żywienie, wpływ rodziny i szkoły na zachowania zdrowotne, problemy zdrowotne dzieci i młodzieży. Dokonano także charakterystyki potrzeb biologicznych i psychospołecznych dziecka jako ucznia. Pracę kończy rozdział opisujący edukację zdrowotną w szkole. |
