Abstract

Idea równości społecznej przyciągała myślicieli wszystkich czasów i znajdowała różne historyczne wcielenia. Szczególnej wagi problematyka ta nabrała w socjalizmie, który równość i sprawiedliwość społeczną wypisał na swym sztandarze. Klasycy marksizmu wypowiadali się w kwestiach egalitaryzmu, ale nie znajdziemy u nich gotowych odpowiedzi na pytania, jakie rodzi konieczność praktycznych rozstrzygnięć, pojawienie się konfiguracji społecznych sprzecznych z zasadą równości. Toteż problematyka równości nieustannie zaprzątała teoretyków marksizmu i sprawujących władzę, była przedmiotem dociekań naukowych i polemik prasowych. Właśnie dyskusje i spory wokół pojęcia równości, które toczyły się w Polsce powojennej aż do lat 1980. są obiektem szczególnego zainteresowania Autorki.

The idea of social equality absorbed thinkers of all times and appeared in many historical forms and versions. In communist societes of the 20th C. the problem of social equality became particularly important, as the ideas of social equality and social justice were the core values of this ideology. The classic Marxist authors mentioned social equality in their works and speeches, but avoided answers to the questions concerning the reality of communist society, and didn’t recommend practical solutions for social configurations at odds with the principles of social equality. For that reason the problem of social equality often absorbed the powers that be, the researchers, and the journalists. Those discussions and disputes concerning the interpretation of social equality in the postwar Poland up to the 1980s are the objects of particular interest of the author.
