Abstrakt:
The concept of this article is based on the idea of defining the relationships and interactions between endogenous economic potential of rural areas and the degree of development of the technical infrastructure. For this targeted analysis a number of features have been selected. These futures were assigned to one of two groups of determinants (economic potential, infrastructure). Then, using various methods, attempt to demonstrate the relationships between two areas (or lack thereof) was made. The first part focuses on the diagnosis of conditions relating to network infrastructure and economic potential, which provided the background for further analysis. The second part of the work was focused strictly on the analysis of the relationship between infrastructure and each diagnostic features describing the economic potential of local government units. Capture of such regularity is often possible only by reviewing the existing concepts of development, in which infrastructure development is one of the main determinants of economic development. Thus, in the preliminary part a brief characterization of the most important development concepts was made. In order to capture the exact dependencies and regularities determining two areas, the entire set of 127 municipalities was divided into four typological groups in terms of the degree of development of infrastructure (A - highest to D - the weakest), while each of the municipalities has been assigned to a specific type. The study was based on an example of Kujawsko-Pomorskie voivodeship, which was treated as a sort of case study.
