Filozofia postmodernistyczna jako ideowy fundament procesów demokratyzacji

Abstract

Postmodernist philosophy and its shape can be considered the epiphany of democratic values and the example of democratisation processes in modern culture, namely in the field of philosophical knowledge. Postmodernist conceptions diagnose the condition of culture and its change; what is more, they become intellectual or even ideological support for those cultural transformations. Philosophical postmodernism significantly influenced other fields of knowledge and changed the status quo of humanities. It contributed to the development of the self-awareness of individual sciences, as well as redefined and worked out many concepts and theories not possible before. If the influence of the democratic background on postmodernist conceptions is unquestionably accepted, then it is also reasonable to assume that individual scientific disciplines did not escape democratisation processes either. In many areas it concerns even the key concepts or their subject matter. From this perspective postmodernism was a kind of causative factor, it minded its own interests and changed the way to perceive, and consequently it changed reality itself. It is possible that postmodernist philosophy, being competent to do so, invented a new form of culture that reflects cultural needs of their creators.

Filozofia postmodernistyczna i jej kształt mogą stanowić epifanię wartości demokratycznych i być dobrym przykładem dokonujących się procesów demokratyzacji kultury współczesnej, w tym przypadku w odniesieniu do dziedziny wiedzy, jaką jest filozofia. Koncepcje postmodernistyczne diagnozują stan kultury i zachodzące w niej zmiany, przede wszystkim stają się one jednak intelektualnym czy nawet ideologicznym wsparciem przekształceń kulturowych. Filozoficzny postmodernizm wywarł ogromny wpływ na stan wiedzy w innych dziedzinach i zmienił status quo wielu dyscyplin humanistycznych. Przyczynił się do rozwoju samoświadomości poszczególnych nauk, a także przedefiniował i wypracował wiele pojęć i teorii, które wcześniej nie były możliwe. Jeśli uznać, że wpływ demokratycznego tła na koncepcje postmodernistyczne nie budzi wątpliwości, to należy również uznać, że poszczególne dziedziny naukowe nie uniknęły także procesu demokratyzacji. W wielu obszarach dotyczy to nawet pojęć kluczowych czy samego przedmiotu zainteresowania. Postmodernizm w takim ujęciu miał pewną moc sprawczą, realizował swoje interesy i wpłynął na sposób patrzenia na rzeczywistość, a w efekcie na nią samą. Być może filozofia postmodernistyczna wynalazła pewną formę kultury, do której wynalezienia była kompetentna i która odzwierciedlała kulturowe zapotrzebowanie jej twórców.
