Abstrakt:
The article presents rural areas in Poland in the context of utilization of endogenous resources and functional diversification in 2007 and 2008. One of the directions of multifunctional rural development is production of renewable energy based on local resources. Effective utilization of both environmental and technological conditions for agricultural production were discussed by the reference to the production of energy crops. Energy crops pose an alternative source energy (biomass) and are based on
local energy resources. Moreover, the production of energy crops is also an example of diffusion of both technological and technical innovation. An important rural endogenous resource is a human factor. On the basis of the obtained results it has been concluded that
young people are more creative; they are leaders in implementation of innovations.
