Abstrakt:
The article is devoted to the structure and functioning of music-related motives in selected texts by Mikołaj Rej. The motives are analysed in 3 groups related to instrumentary, a 16th century music culture, and its manifestation in the colloquial language familiar to Rej. The main subject of the analysis is the explication of symbolics and metaphorics of these motives, as well as the attempt to read their meaning for an axiologic system of Rej.
